CANADIAN TRACTOR PARTS DIRECT LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS, CONDITIONS, AND TERMINOLOGY
LIMITED “PARTS ONLY” WARRANTY
A LIMITED parts only warranty will cover only the part(s) of an assembly, not the assembly itself, if a warrantable failure, due to quality or workmanship, is to occur within the time frame specified on your invoice. CTPD is to be the sole supplier of the replacement part(s), provided CTPD deems it to be a warrantable failure. CTPD reserves the right to inspect any/all parts associated with any warranty claim. This warranty is not progressive, does not cover consequential damages, and does not go beyond the part or assembly purchased. NO PARTS FROM OUTSIDE SUPPLIERS, NO LABOR, NO SHIPPING & HANDLING, NO OTHER LOSSES will be covered. See “CLAIMS” and “NOT COVERED” in this document for more information. RFE reserves all rights and is the final authority with regards to this warranty.
For products/assemblies manufactured, remachined, or assembled by other suppliers, Canadian Tractor Parts Direct (hereafter “CTPD”), and its subsidiaries, act only as a distributor and provide no warranty or guarantee of any type, express or implied. These products/assemblies may, however, be covered by each manufacturer’s, supplier’s, or assembler’s warranty. CTPD, and its subsidiaries, assign and pass through to the purchaser any warranty that may exist.
NEW PRODUCTS WARRANTY
New products are warranted by the manufacturer only, (details available upon request). CTPD and its subsidiaries, acting only as a distributor, provide no warranty or guarantee of any type, express or implied.
For products/assemblies manufactured, remachined, or assembled by other suppliers, Canadian Tractor Parts Direct (hereafter “CTPD”), and its subsidiaries, act only as a distributor and provide no warranty or guarantee of any type, express or implied. These products/assemblies may, however, be covered by each manufacturer’s, supplier’s, or assembler’s warranty. CTPD, and its subsidiaries, assign and pass through to the purchaser any warranty that may exist.
REBUILT, REMANUFACTURED, AND RECONDITIONED WARRANTY
Rebuilt, remanufactured, reconditioned, and remachined parts/assemblies are warranted by the supplier/builder only, (details available upon request). CTPD and its subsidiaries, acting only as a distributor, provide no warranty or guarantee of any type, express or implied.
For products/assemblies manufactured, remachined, or assembled by other suppliers, Canadian Tractor Parts Direct (hereafter “CTPD”), and its subsidiaries, act only as a distributor and provide no warranty or guarantee of any type, express or implied. “INSPECTION” GUARANTEE
An inspection guarantee only covers parts/assemblies up to the point immediately prior to installation. When a part/assembly is received, it is the purchaser’s responsibility to look over and inspect thoroughly. If the part/assembly does not meet the purchaser’s standards and requirements, it may be returned for a refund or replacement, less shipping & handling. Once the part/assembly is installed, the purchaser is accepting the part/assembly, and all liability, without reserve, exception or qualification and the inspection guarantee is ended. There is no other coverage, express or implied. NO PARTS, NO LABOR, and NO SHIPPING & HANDLING will be covered. See “CLAIMS”, “NOT COVERED”, and “RETURNS” in this document for more information.

In no event will CTPD, or any of its subsidiaries, cover or be liable for any of the following:

In any case where the manufacturer of a given product does allow for coverage of any of the above listed costs/expenses, under the terms of their warranty, then it is the purchaser’s sole responsibility to file any/all necessary claims paperwork with said manufacturer(s) directly for warranty consideration.
CLAIMS & DISPUTES
All claims must be submitted directly to that product/assembly’s manufacturer/supplier, in writing, within the prescribed warranty period, immediately following any issue and BEFORE performing disassembly or repairs of any type. Unauthorized disassembly or repair or a delay of claim notification will void any applicable warranty. The original manufacturer, CTPD, or its subsidiaries reserve the right to inspect all products involved in any warranty claim. All products being returned for inspection must be sent freight pre-paid following the procedures outlined in the “RETURNS” section herein. In no event will any warranty compensation exceed the initial purchase price paid on the original invoice.
MODIFICATION & COMPETITION USE
All warranties and guarantees are offered with the express understanding that any/all products/assemblies purchased will be used in a normal fashion, as it was designed and engineered to be used, and serviced as recommended by the manufacturer. Any product modified from its original state and/or installed into an application that could be considered to be in “competition” or “extreme” use will void any/all warranties that otherwise may have been in effect. Some examples of “competition” and “extreme” use, is as follows. Bear in mind, this is not an exhaustive or comprehensive listing:
- COMPETITION USE: Any application that is used in any type of competitive event, i.e.: Pulling, Racing, Derby, Mud Bogging, etc…
- EXTREME USE: Any application that is used in hazardous or non-typical situations, i.e.: Military, Forestry, Municipal, Firefighting, Dredging, Materials Processing, and Mining applications.
AGREEING TO THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS
By placing an order with CTPD or one of its subsidiaries, you are explicitly agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined in this document and any/all other documents relating to CTPD’s terms and conditions. Copies of these terms and conditions are available upon request. Terms and conditions can be changed, modified, and/or updated at any time, as CTPD deems necessary, without notice.
